The CFLF has awarded CF Recreation Grants to 2,000+ people with CF since 2007. Several times each year, a current or past grant recipient is chosen as a feature for the spotlight to be shined upon. Not only are they amazing people, but they truly embody the “CF lifestyle” through a long-term demonstration of achieving healthy and active lifestyles. The only qualification is that the person is a current or past CF Recreation Grant recipient.

Much like a shooting star streaking across the sky with a streaming tail, STROLO Stars are individuals who have received CF Recreation Grants in the past of present who innately take your breath away.

One of the elements the CFLF looks for in choosing a Star is recurring participation in activities over several years. While this is often identified by the number of CF Recreation Grants that person has been awarded (or has applied for), a nominee can also be a grant recipient who has continued their passion for exercise throughout their life.

The CFLF will coordinate a virtual-video interview with pre-arranged questions to demonstrate who you are as a person, how you manage your cystic fibrosis, and what your goals and future directions might be.
