The STROLO Ambassador program is a new program developed by the CFLF as a unique program in the cystic fibrosis community. Members of the cystic fibrosis community hold courageous and powerful stories of survival and thriving which holds immense power and this program seeks to build advocacy platforms for Ambassadors in their local communities in building awareness of cystic fibrosis as a disease as well as the work of the CFLF in empowering patients toward living STRONGER and LONGER (STROLO) mindsets and lifestyles.

By sharing their stories and experiences with the community through either social media, CF education nights and public speaking events, Ambassadors help others in the CF community to feel connected and not so alone. Likewise it offers those unfamiliar to the disease with learning opportunities and inspirational motivation.

Aligned with the CFLF tagline of “Living Stronger! Living Longer” (STROLO), the importance of showing others how to live a STROLO lifestyle is essential to our mission. This program helps to shine the spotlight on the many individuals who demonstrate the importance of this lifestyle in surviving and thriving with deadly challenges everyday. Having tenacious individuals broadcasting this mission and inspiring the community is our vision

The CFLF will identify and invite eligible candidates from the pool of previous CFLF Recreation Grant recipients and individuals who meets eligibility criteria and are confident in advocating for their self as a candidate, with a target of 5 STROLO Ambassadors in year one.

The CFLF will also accept nominations from CF healthcare providers based on a set eligibility criteria.

STROLO Ambassadors would be eligible for earning points through meeting expectations that can be accumulated over time and used for healthy and active lifestyle opportunities and/or equipment, purchase of branded goods through the CFLF online store, or apply points for cash values to various CF related needs.

•   Attend mandatory monthly Ambassador meeting(in order for the points they’ve accumulated that month to count they have to attend the meetings)
•   Mandatory bi-weekly social media posts and weekly in-story posts
•  Submit monthly report of activity (with point earnings)
